In this post, we will share our experience from KL Sentral to Penang Butterworth station by ETS Train Business Class.

We booked the 11.08am ticket at KL Sentral and arrived around 3.23pm at Penang Butterworth station.

A direct 4 hours 15 minutes train ride from KL Sentral to Penang Butterworth station.

We booked the ETS business class ticket at RM151. The normal ticket is around RM80.

ETS Business class ticket can access to the Ruby Lounge (exclusive waiting area with drinks provided), spacious 2+1 seating arrangement, meal and tea break provided.

Take the escalator up and turn left.

Look for the coach. Coach A for ETS Business class.

2+1 seating arrangement

On the right of the seat is a folding tray/table.

On the left of the seat is a touch screen device with (limited) internet access.

This is the Kuala Lumpur station, some called this the old Kuala Lumpur station because it was replaced by KL Sentral station in 2001 as the main station.

A 3 minutes train ride from KL Sentral station. The train still stop at the old Kuala Lumpur station where there are (less) people boarding. Note that there is no Ruby Lounge privileges at the old Kuala Lumpur station if you are travel in ETS Business Class.
