In our previous post at https://www.sgbestbargain.sg/2023/05/how-to-go-kl-by-train.html, we shared there is no direct train from JB to KL as of now.
The only way is from JB Sentral to Gemas then from Gemas to KL Sentral.
In this post, we will share about our experience from Gemas to KL Sentral.
From Gemas to KL Sentral is about 2 hours 30 mins. RM31 per pax.
We boarded the 3.20pm train and arrived KL Sentral at around 5.55pm.
We arrived the gate at Gemas Station around 250pm and the staff started to direct us to the platform around 3pm.
We used the KTMB app to scan our tickets.
The pathway to the platform.
This is also the pathway we walked out of Gemas Station when we arrived at Gemas from JB Sentral.
Can take a lift down or use the staircase to the platform.
There is a 3 pin plug underneath your seat. Useful if you need to charge your devices to do some work on the train.
Tray table. There is a cafe on the train too if you need to buy some foods or drinks.
The journey from Gemas to KL Sentral was shorter compare to JB Sentral to Gemas.
Please note that KL Sentral station is not the same as Kuala Lumpur station. Kuala Lumpur station is the old railway station. The train still stop there but it is less accessible to other parts of KL compare to KL Sentral. KL Sentral is really very convenient. We will share how we travel around KL using their public transport in the future posts.
There is lift and escalator to exit the KL Sentral Railway station.
Before you exit the KL Sentral railway station, you need to scan your ticket again. Again, we use our KTMB app. Now you see how convienent it is. We used that when we travel from KL Sentral to Butterworth Penang too.
See the Ruby Lounge after scan the ticket to exit.
