There are many ways via bus, train or flight to go to Kuala Lumpur KL from Johor Bahru JB.
KL Sentral
This is our KTM train experience https://www.sgbestbargain.sg/2023/05/how-to-go-kl-by-train.html.
In this post, we will share our experience from JB Larkin Bus Terminal to KL Sentral by bus.
If you are a frequent reader of my blog www.sgbestbargain.sg, you should know where is JB Larkin Bus Terminal by now but just in case you need to find out how to go JB Larkin Bus Terminal - https://www.sgbestbargain.sg/2023/05/how-to-go-larkin-from-ciq.html.
JB Larkin Bus Terminal is like a bus interchange for me to travel to other parts of Malaysia by bus.
I took bus 170 to JB Larkin from Singapore https://www.sgbestbargain.sg/2023/04/how-to-go-jb-from-singapore.html. Then from JB Larkin to KL.
This is my route : Singapore → JB Larkin → KL Sentral.
I bought the bus ticket online in advance at RM40 per pax. There are a few online websites such as redBus, BusTicketOnline, Easybook to buy the bus ticket.
Even if you buy the ticket online in advance, you have to go to the physical counter to collect your ticket or boarding pass and need to pay additional RM2 per pax for the Larkin Bus Terminal facilities fee.
Hence, it is important for you to reach Larkin Bus Terminal at least 45 minutes before the time of your bus departure as you need to queue to collect your ticket.
We took the overnight bus by Suasana Edaran.
Departure at 1159pm from JB Larkin Bus Terminal and expected to reach KL Sentral by 510am.
Take note that bus by Suasana Edaran is the only bus operator that will go to KL Sentral from JB Larkin Bus Terminal so far.
The other bus operators will go to or terminate at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) in KL.
The usual entrance to the departure hall is closed. Probably due to late in night.
Follow the sign to go to the other entrance into the departure hall.
This is the other entrance to the departure hall.
Take note that there is no toilet inside the departure hall waiting area.
So don't drink too much water and go to toilet first.
Toilet at JB Larkin Bus Terminal have to pay 30 sen per pax per entry to the toilet.
This is the waiting area in the departure hall.
This is our bus by Suasana Edaran for the night.
Storage for luggage.
Ready to go!
Toilet break. There is only one toilet break during our trip.
Reached TBS.
People going to TBS or KL Sentral are on the same bus.
The bus will go to TBS first then to KL Sentral. So if you going to KL Sentral, just stay in the bus.
This is the escalator to go to the bridge that is linked to Bandar Tasik Selatan station.
The station to take the KLIA transit train to KL Sentral or KL Airport (KLIA/KLIA2).
For our case, we went to KL Sentral instead as the first train from Bandar Tasik Selatan station to KL Sentral is around 5.49am.
Reached KL Sentral.
Walk towards the escalator.
You can also see the bus ticketing counter for Resort World Genting.
This is the ticket counter to buy bus ticket from KL Sentral to Genting.
Take the escalator up and you will see a entrance to the KLIA transit station at KL Sentral.
