There are many ways to go JB from Singapore via public bus, KTM train or private car or taxi such as sgmyjb.com

How to go JB from Singapore by public bus. We will share the easiest and convenient way via public bus.

Take a train to either Woodlands MRT or Kranji MRT station.

From Woodlands MRT, you can go JB by bus 950. 

The bus route is from Woodlands MRT bus interchange to the bus stop opposite Marsiling MRT to Woodlands Checkpoint. However, not advisable to take bus 950 opposite Marsiling MRT because if the bus is full or pack, you might not be able to board the bus.

From Kranji MRT, you can go JB by bus 170/170X/160

What is the difference between bus 170/170X/160 from Singapore to JB?

We will just explain for the route from Kranji MRT station to JB

Bus 170X go straight into Woodlands Checkpoint 

Bus 170 will pass by Woodlands Train Checkpoint before to Woodlands Checkpoint 

Bus 160 will pass by Marsiling Park before to Woodlands Checkpoint

170X : Kranji MRT →→→ Opposite Kranji MRT →→→ Woodlands Checkpoint (loop service)

170 : Opposite Kranji MRT →→→ Woodlands Train Checkpoint →→→ Woodlands Checkpoint

160 : Opposite Kranji MRT →→→ Marsiling Park →→→ Woodlands Checkpoint

Bus 170X at bus stop Kranji MRT. You can only take 170X to JB at this bus stop.

There is an overhead bridge to walk to the bus stop opposite Kranji MRT.

Bus stop opposite Kranji MRT. This is the bus stop where you can take bus 170X/170/160 to JB.

I personally prefer taking bus at Kranji MRT because there are more buses available compare to Woodlands. 

Tips : Just take whatever bus that comes first because the difference in travelling time from Kranji to Woodlands Checkpoint is not really significant. It is around plus minus five to ten minutes only.
