Took my longest bus ride in Malaysia.
From Larkin Sentral at Johor Bahru (JB) to Penang Sentral.
The whole bus ride took 12 hours with a few breaks.
In this post, I will share my experience to Penang by bus.
This is my itinerary.
Singapore → Larkin Sentral at Johor Bahru (JB) → Penang Sentral.

I booked my bus ticket online. RM80 per pax.

If you have read my link above, you will know why need to pay additional RM2 per pax during the ticket collection at Larkin Sentral.
I took the bus by bus operator Super Nice.
On the bus at Larkin Sentral at 10.30pm.
The bus will pass by Tun Aminah Bus Terminal and Kulai Bus Terminal in Johor to pick up passengers before leaving to Penang.
At Kulai Bus Terminal at 11.30pm picking up passengers.
First toilet break.
Second toilet break.
At Taiping at 7.45am. The sky already bright.
Reached Penang Sentral at 10.40am.
The bus seating arrangements.
2+1 seating
One thing I noted during the bus ride was there are many stops for drop off before reaching Penang Sentral, this is why it took 12 hours to reach Penang Sentral.
So perhaps next time I will try out other bus operators with fewer pick up and/or drop off points so that I can reach Penang faster.
Lastly, I will suggest all of you to bring a small blanket with you inside the bus.
