In this post, we will share our bus experience from KL back home to Singapore.

In case you wonder why I took the bus from KL to Singapore instead of JB, I will share why later at the end of this post.

We took the bus from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) in Kuala Lumpur (KL).

I bought the ticket online advance at RM55 per pax. So it is important to reach TBS at least one hour in advance as you need to queue to collect your bus ticket or boarding pass.

You can also buy your bus ticket over the counter.

There is no facilities fee unlike JB Larkin Bus Terminal with a RM2 per pax facilities fee.

Our bus departure time at 1159pm and expected to reach Boon Lay in Singapore at 510am.

We went into the departure hall 30 minutes earlier.

Scan the QR code for entry. Our gate is Gate 2.

Take the escalator down to the departure hall.

Toilet is available in the departure hall in TBS and is free of charge (JB Larkin Bus Terminal charge 30 sen per pax per entry).

We took the overnight bus by StarMart Express.

On the bus. Ready to go back home!

Toilet break at the petrol station. There is one toilet break during our trip.

At Tuas Second Link. You have to take all your belongings and luggage with you for clearance at Singapore side.

Reached Boon Lay at around 6am.

I took the bus from KL to SG instead of JB Larkin. KL to JB Larkin is about RM35 while KL to SG is RM55. Paid RM20 more allows me to reach Singapore faster and most importantly, I can avoid the morning peak period at the Causeway as there are many Malaysians going to SG to work.

The leg room in the bus by StarMart Express is wide as there are only 9 rows of 2+1 seat. I managed to sleep throughout the ride!
